Port Chester

Port Chester’s well-kept homes and tree-lined streets offer a homier version of a small city. One-of–a-kind shops alternating with historic buildings define its character. Not to mention all of the adventurous dining options - you will have a hard time choosing between Colombian food, Brazilian barbecue and old world Italian specialties, to name only a few. But there’s more to Port Chester than food. Its waterfront offers boat slips, a promenade, and a popular, ever-expanding in-town lifestyle. Stroll over to the boardwalk at Playland Park in nearby Rye. Port Chester’s Capitol Theater, having hosted such acts as Janis Joplin, Pink Floyd, the Grateful Dead, Phish, Bob Dylan, Lauryn Hill and Willie Nelson, among many others, is considered a musical landmark. Weekday commuting to Grand Central Station on Metro-North’s New Haven line takes less than 45 minutes. The trip to midtown Manhattan via I-95 takes about less than an hour.
