Named for two brothers from Pennsylvania, William and Thomas Towson, you’d never know the bustling college town of Towson, just north of Baltimore, used to be a rural farming community. Now it is home to the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, the large public Towson University and the small, liberal arts Goucher College. As such, Towson is a young town, full of energy and bursting with dining, cultural, shopping and recreation opportunities. In fact, Towson University eagerly flings its doors open to families in the local community for athletics and arts events, kids camps, learning and educational resources and more. You’ll also find a diverse mix of restaurants, bars, live music venues, and theaters, complemented by the culture that Baltimore has to offer. With something happening around every corner, professionals and families love to call this dynamic college town home.
