Rick Mostyn

As Co-Founder and Vice Chairman of The Bozzuto Group, Rick Mostyn provides strategic counsel and guidance to Bozzuto’s leadership teams. In addition to serving as a mentor and advisor, Mostyn sits on the Company’s Investment Committee.

Concurrently, as CEO of Wye River Insurance, an affiliate company of Bozzuto, Mostyn provides the same guidance and counsel to the Wye River Insurance team and clients, based on his more than 40 years of experience in multifamily development, acquisition, homebuilding, property management and construction.

Before establishing Wye River Insurance, Mostyn began his tenure at The Bozzuto Group as its Chief Financial Officer. Leveraging his previous ten years of experience as a Vice President and Controller for Oxford Development Corporation, in his role as CFO, he was responsible for all equity and debt activity. Mostyn then notably served as Chief Operating Officer, directing the Company’s multifamily development, acquisition, homebuilding, property management and construction activities.

During his leadership of The Bozzuto Group, Mostyn gained a comprehensive understanding of the importance and complexity of insurance and risk management needs throughout the lifespan of a real estate project. This experience has given Wye River Insurance a specialty and a wealth of insight into the real estate and construction industries.

He is a graduate of the University of Maryland and earned his master’s degree in Finance from Johns Hopkins University. Mostyn is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Managerial Accountant.
